We are in the Maiella National Park in Abruzzo - Italy

The Mother Mountain for Abruzzo, the "Sacred Mountain".

The Wolf, the Bear, the high altitude plains, the wild and imposing canyons, the heremitages, the abbeys, the dry stone shepherds' huts.

Dal Pagano Restaurant is immersed in all this nature and in the history of this territory.

From Dal Pagano Restaurant, there are important naturalistic trails, useful to reach the most fascinating places of the Sacred Mountain and Amaro Mountain, the summit, which reaches 3000 meters high.

We are tied to a double thread with the Park. On the one hand, we live on it, in the uncontaminated and wild nature, on the other, "Cultivate diversity"

- Network of Farmers Park Guardians who cultivate and market their varieties. Thanks to them, the safeguarding of agricultural biodiversity is guaranteed and local varieties can continue to evolve while maintaining the link with the cultural origin matrix. In order to reduce the risk of extinction, further ex situ conservation actions have been activated, at Majella's Germoplasma Bank and in the botanical gardens of the Park where varieties are cultivated in showcases.

In the framework of the "We cook the diversity" initiative, we have also established a network of quality restaurants and farmhouses. They serve as a meeting place for producers and consumers by offering the dishes of the abruzzese gastronomic tradition made with indigenous varieties produced by the guardian farmers of the Park.

"If you eat me save it" is instead the slogan used to promote the consumption of indigenous agricultural varieties in the school's canteens. - (Learn more about the park's site)

In the "strong and kind" Abruzzo we propose our work in respect of this extraordinary Natural Park.
